Rava-Ruska (Ukrainian: Рава-Руська, translit. Rava-Rus'ka; Russian: Рава-Русская, translit. Rava-Russkaya; Polish: Rawa Ruska) is a city in the Lviv Oblast of western Ukraine.
It is located near the border with Poland, opposite the town of Hrebenne. It is located in the Zhovkva Raion (district) at around . The current estimated population is 8,100 (as of 2001).
The first mention of the town in historical sources dates from 1455. It was part of the Kingdom of Poland and then the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. In 1698, it was the site of a meeting between Peter the Great and Augustus the Strong, which led to the Treaty of Preobrazhenskoye. In the years 1772-1918 it was part of the Austrian Empire (Austria-Hungary from 1867). Between 1918 and 1939 it was again part of Poland. Since 1945 it belonged to the USSR, then since 1991 to independent Ukraine.
