The Rauch-Haus-Song of the West Berlin band Ton Steine Scherben thematizes the squatting of the former Bethanien-Krankenhaus (Bethanien-hospital) from the sight of the squatters. The title reflects on the circumstance, that the squatters renamed the house „Georg-von-Rauch-Haus“ after Georg von Rauch who was shot by the police in 1971. In the scene of the squatters this song became a classic, because the refrain „Das ist unser Haus“ (this is our house) can be called out loudly as a motto. The song appears on the album Keine Macht für Niemand.
WestBam published a Remix on Pop 2001 - Geschichte wird gemacht in 2001.
R:Und wir schreien’s laut:
Ihr kriegt uns hier nicht raus!
Das ist unser Haus, schmeißt doch endlich
Schmidt und Press und Mosch aus Kreuzberg raus. [1]
(R:and we call it loud:
you won't get us out!
This our house,
at last kick Schmidt and Press and Mosch out. [2]
