Ranjon Ghoshal is a founder member of the Bangla band 'Moheener Ghoraguli', and runs an advertising agency, "Mareech Advertising" in Banglore, apart from "Forum Tree", a theatre group.[1][2][3]
A first cousin of Gautam Chattopadhyay, who founded arguably Bengal's and India's first band in 1975 along with him and other members;[4] Ronjon was the presenter of the band and also contributed immensely to the lyrics. He used to handle all the media interaction, artwork of the records, cover designing and publicity material.
An electrical engineer from Jadavpur University, Ranjon has worked with BHEL for a few years before turning a designer-entrepreneur. He currently resides in Bangalore, India with his wife Sangeeta and two sons, Indrayudh (in Canada now) and Abhimanyu, running an ad agency.
Ranjon's home in Bangalore, The Yellow Submarine, is a focal point for a number of intellectuals and artists in the city. He is an active member of the Bangalore theatre scene, directing and performing plays in English with the group 'Forum Three'.[1]
