The Ralph J. Scott, also known as Fireboat #2, is a 100-foot fireboat that was attached to the Los Angeles Fire Department serving the Port of Los Angeles. It was retired in 2003 after 78 years and replaced by the Warner L. Lawrence. The Ralph J. Scott is on display near the Los Angeles Maritime Museum in San Pedro.

Description

She is 100 feet long and can pump 17,000 gpm[3]. Its namesake is a former Chief Engineer of the LAFD.[2].

When she was retired, she had to be removed from the water due to the condition of her rivets and the lack of skilled labor to hand rivet the hull.
