Rakitna is a village in the Brezovica municipality in central Slovenia. The municipality is part of the traditional region of Inner Carniola and is now included in the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local parish church is dedicated to the Holy Cross and belongs to the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Ljubljana. It was built in the 17th century on the site of an earlier building, mentioned in written documents dating to 1420.[3]
