Rajper

Rajper or Rajpar (Sindhi: راڄپر) is a Sindhi tribe in Sindh province of Pakistan. It is from the Samat tribe. Its roots are in Naushahro Feroze District, Sindh. The Rajper group has over 70 subcastes. In Sindh the major clans of Bhattis are the Dadani, Mangrio, Bhutto, Kamario, Rajpar, Bhamban, and Indhar.

Occupation

The Rajpers were originally farmers. Later, most of them had acquired their own land. Today nearly everyone in this tribe is well off. Some are now changing careers to government jobs and politics.

Lifestyle

Rajpers prefer to live in the village and to look after the businesses of their forefathers. Unlike most villages, Rajper have electricity, gas, wide roads, transport facilities, a proper drainage system, schools, dispensaries/hospitals, and mini floor mills in their village. Women in this tribe are held high in respect.

Sardars

The leader of the tribe is known as the Sardar. Under him are all the sub-caste leaders. All the domestic problems get solved by the leaders.
