A Rail transfer cart is a kind of materials handling equipment which is widely used in modern factory bays. A Rail transfer cart can also be known as a motorized transfer cart, motorized transfer trolleys, table car, climbing car, crossing car.
The rail transporting car needs to run on the rails so it is necessary to pave the rails on the ground. The cart is driven by electricity, it runs automatically under the driving force of the motor. It is a flatbed car, the table is flat and without cover(cap). For some uses the table is not flat such as ladle transfer cart or coil transfer cart.
Rail transfer carts can be divided into the following types according to the different power supply modes:
Low voltage rail transfer cart has its power supplied with single-phase 36v low voltage unit. DC motor drive. The working principle: AC 380v is transformed into AC 36v by way of transformer into rails and then sent to the current rectifier on the truck which supply 36v direct current to DC motor.[1]
[2] Battery power rail transfer cart is equipped and powered with storage battery. DC motor drive, large start torque and overload ratio, no insulation requirement and more safer, erection convenient and low cost, no limited running distance. The battery transfer cart is widely applied for heavy manufacturing industry as well as other industries.
Cable power rail transfer cart (Cable power includes cable reel and line mobile cable) Cable reel cart is equipped with cable reel which operates in hysteresis coupling way to insure cable safe pulling and winding in and to prevent it injured. 380V power supply to YZ motor, VFD speed adjustment, largest transporting distance 200 meters. Line mobile cable cart is supported by the cable-power. One end of the cable connects the ground power, then via cable pulleys and traction wire-steel rope to the control box and at last supply electric power to YZ motor which makes transfer wagon work. However, the transporting distance is generally not more than 50 meters,or the cable will be wound easily.
