Raadvad, or Rådvad is a neighbourhood in the Lyngby-Taarbæk municipality, by the Mølleåen, in the middle of the Dyrehaven. It was originally a small industrial town, built around a waterwork, the Raadvad Mølle.
In Raadvad today is a hostel and a restaurant, Raadvad Kro.[1][2]
People connected to Raadvad are the designer Georg Jensen, the painter Axel Lind, the historian Svend Aage Larsen and the early feminist activist Andrea Kibenich.[3]

The place has given its name to the Raadvad company, which was founded in 1758 with the name Raadvaddams Fabrikker. The company produces mostly kitchen equipment, and is well know in Denmark for its knives. After the First World War, it changed name to Raadvads Knivfabrikker and, for a period, it produced exclusively knives and bread-cutters. In the 1970's, the company moved to Brønderslev, and is now a part of the Fiskars group.[4]
