The RIT Tigers women's ice hockey team is one of two hockey teams representing Rochester Institute of Technology in suburban Rochester, New York. The school's women's team competes in the Division III ECAC West conference. The women's head coach is former Niagara University player Scott McDonald.

History

RIT added women's varsity hockey for the 1975–1976 season. After many years in the ECAC East, RIT moved to the ECAC West league for the 2007–2008 season. The team has made two NCAA tournament appearances, in 2007 and in 2011; they lost their lone game in the 2007 campaign to Amherst College. In their 2011 campaign, the lady tigers lost in the frozen four final to Norwich College. The team has not had a losing season since 1994–95.
