R-Types is a PlayStation and PlayStation Portable and PSN release. PSN version was released in Japan on December 21, 2006 and in North America on April 24, 2008.
R-Type DX is a Game Boy Color release.
R-Type Complete CD is a release for the PC Engine CD-ROM
R-Type Dimensions is a release for the Xbox 360's Xbox Live Arcade download service. IGN editor Cam Shea ranked it 10th on his top 10 list of Xbox Live Arcade games. He praised it for its challenge and ability to switch between current and classic visuals, but felt the price may be too high.[1]
