Quebracho is a small town (villa) in Paysandú Department in Uruguay. It is located 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) into a road that splits off Route 3 in a westward direction, about 52 kilometres (32 mi) north-northeast of the department capital city of Paysandú. The railroad track Salto - Paysandú passes through this town.
Its status was elevated to "Villa" (small town) category on 15 November 1963 by decree Ley No. 13.167.[1]
In 2004, Quebracho had a population of 2,813.[2]
