Operation

Punchcut is a design consulting company in San Francisco[1], and in New York, United States[2] focused on user interface design for consumer electronics devices; primarily mobile devices[3][4], portable electronic devices and television[5][6].

Punchcut designed a screen-optimized typeface "Amble". In 2010 Sun Microsystems included the fonts for use on devices that use Sun's JavaFX platform as part of JavaFX SDK Release 1.3.[7]

Typophile

Punchcut maintains Typophile, an online community for type designers. Punchcut hosts the annual event, the Typophile Film Fest.[8]
