Puduvayal (Tamil: புதுவயல்) is a City in Sivaganga district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is a small town located in the Chettinad region of the Sivaganga district. On road it is 12 km away from Karaikudi and 21 km away from Aranthangi This is the native place of up coming Director Ashok kumar. This town is famous for its rice mills. Puduvayal is the 2nd largest rice producer in Tamilnadu. Puduvayal is an important Commercial centre for Trade in Sivaganga district.

This place is situated in Sivaganga District about 10 kilometers from karaikudi on the karaikudi - aranthangi road, Tamil Nadu, India, its geographical coordinates are and its original name (with diacritics) is Puduvāyal. There is one railway station in the town on the karaikudi - mayiladuthurai line (at present only passenger trains from karaikudi to thirvarur are operated in this line with a stoppage at puduvayal), set up by Thiru. Friends Volleyball Club in Puduvayal was founded in 1986. This club hosts tournaments every year where teams from all over India participate.
