Ptychochromoides is a genus of fish in the cichlid family from Madagascar. Of the tree described species, two are critically endangered[1][2] and one was considered extinct until rediscovered in late 2010.[3]

Species

At present the genus includes three species, but formerly it also included Katria katria,[4] which only was moved to its own genus in 2006.[5]
