Provogue is a Mumbai based Indian company incorporated on November 11, 1997 as Acme Clothing Private Limited. The brand Provogue was launched in March 1998 and is currently one of the biggest retail apparel brands in India based in Mumbai.[1] As of March 31, 2009, Provogue fashions and accessories were available across 126 Provogue stores and 110 shop-in shops[2]

They have a subsidiary called Prozone which recently got funded from Liberty International. Prozone is a chain of malls initiated by provogue. The first shopping mall is scheduled for launch in May 2010. After the launch, Prozone mall in Aurangabad will be one of the largest mall in the country in terms of size and Gross Leasable Area.[3]

Mukesh Ambani an Indian business magnate and chairman of Indian conglomerate Reliance Industries buys Provogue shirts often, so the company makes shirts in his size in various colours.[4].

Sponsorship

Provogue started by sponsoring sports teams. Provogue is the official clothing sponsor of Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League and the official sponsor for clothing of all the teams in Indian cricket league.

Currently Hrithik Roshan is the brand ambassador for Provogue.[5] Mahesh Babu is the brand ambassador for South India.[6]

Recognitions

The Brand Trust Report listed Provogue in the top 100 Most Trusted brands of India published by Trust Research Advisory in 2011.
