Proprietism refers to a grass-roots movement that seeks to shift world economic markets into sustainable partnerships and sole proprietorships, sans corporations. Proprietists believe private ownership fosters a more responsible and accountable business environment as owner(s) and company are not legally separated entities. Proprietists contend publicly owned companies generally self govern through principals of mob rule and often become much too powerful to be controlled or regulated in any meaningful way.
