Proper Games is a British video game developer based in Dundee, Scotland.[1] Established in 2006,[2] it is an award-winning[3] studio employing a core group of 15 developers. The company is active in the dynamic games development community in Scotland, especially in Dundee.[4]

Proper Games is an associate member of the UK game industry trade association Tiga, The Independent Games Developers Association.[5]

There are several games industry veterans on staff at Proper Games, including CEO Paddy Sinclair and Business Development Executive Chris Wright and COO Daniel Parker. John Sinclair, CTO, joined the company about a year after its founding.[6]

The company specialises in downloadable games and content.

History

Proper Games was formed in 2006 following the closure of Visual Science[7]

In April 2009 Proper Games' first commercial product Flock! was published by Capcom on XBLA, PSN, Steam, and PC.

In November 2009 Flock! was awarded the 'Best Game' award by BAFTA Scotland.[3]

Proper Games' first emulation title Final Fight: Double Impact was published by Capcom in April 2010 on XBLA and PSN to positive reviews.[8]

In June 2010 Proper Games announced during E3 that they would be collaborating with another Dundee developer, Ruffian Games, on the Premium Downloadable Content (PDLC) for Crackdown 2.[9]
