Prodduturu is a village in the Krishna district in Andhra Pradesh, India. The village is 20 kilometers away from Vijayawada City and 5 kilometers from Kankipadu (Mandal HQ).It is one of the Reddys' dominated villages. In former times the people of this village made their living primarily through agriculture, and now many are involved in real estate and software jobs. It is also a leading producer and exporter of chicken and eggs. The village has facilities including two primary and one secondary schools, a health center, a post office, panchayat office, a water tank, community hall and bus service from Vijayawada.
The village features four temples: Lord Siva, Goddess Gangannamma and two of Lord Rama. Major festivals are Sankranthi, Ugadi, Vinayakachavithi and Sree Ramanavami.
Recently Raghava estates has started a project in Prodduturu. They have started real estate venture in around 50 to 70 acres (280,000 m2) which includes villas, individual houses and apartments.
Prodduturu served as a capital of the Nellore [[Pallava dynasty in the 12th century.
