Private Eye is a 2009 South Korean film directed by Park Dae-min and its original title in Korean, Geurimja sarin literally means "Shadow Murder".[1] Alternative titles Mr. Vertigo and Shadow Murder.

The film is set in the 1900s, Seoul, Korean Empire. A famous detective named Hong Jin-ho (Hwang Jung-min) solved many crimes. A body of a man who turned out to be a rich man's son was discovered in the woods. Gwang-soo was a medical student who teamed up with Jin-ho to solve the murder.[1]
According to preliminary calculations of the distributor, CJ Entertainment, Private Eye, which started screening on April 2, 2009, had attracted more than 554,000 viewers nationwide in four days, making it #1 at the South Korean box office.[2] It was #1 at the South Korean box office selling 234,715 tickets (38.6% of all ticket sales) at its opening on April 3 - June 5 }}.
