The apparent suicide of a controversial artist, killed while engaging in an apparent act of auto-erotic asphyxiation, leads Detectives Greevey and Logan into the city's S&M subculture. There they find that the artist was involved with the head of the New York Department of Cultural Affairs and his "mistress", a wealthy socialite who instigated the S&M scene that led to the artist's death.
