History

Supposedly dating back as habitat since medieval times. In the so-called Harrnica, it could be an ancient medieval residence, this remains an assumption. As centuries of rule by various sovereign, the development and preservation of ancient traditions of settlements or cemeteries have been neglected.

According to history, the lake Prilepnica was a part of Artan (the roman name of city of Novo Brdo).

At the time of embankment was built, while digging over a few walls were found, but by then the power is never interested to invite archaeologists to study. In all those old houses which are dilapidated and in the opening under the foundations of new houses, in most cases are found bottles, swords, and ancient things that nobody has been able to identify. But these are all treated as important and not without value. Some of which have disappeared for ever not be found again.

Prilepnica is mentioned in the Ottoman defter of 1455 of the Vlk Vilayet (Vuk Vilayet), encompassing most of Vuk Branković's former territory. At that time the village was exclusively populated with a Serbian population with 62 household heads[1].
