Prentice is a village in Price County, Wisconsin, United States. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 626. The village is located within the Town of Prentice.

Prentice is located at 45°32'43" North, 90°17'21" West (45.545499, -90.289413).[3]
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.0 square miles (5.3 km²), of which, 2.0 square miles (5.2 km²) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 km²) of it is water. The total area is 0.99% water.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 626 people, 285 households, and 167 families residing in the village. The population density was 312.8 people per square mile (120.8/km²). There were 316 housing units at an average density of 157.9 per square mile (61.0/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 97.28% White, 0.48% Black or African American, 1.12% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.48% from other races, and 0.64% from two or more races. 2.08% of the population were Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There were 285 households out of which 29.8% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45.6% were married couples living together, 8.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 41.4% were non-families. 35.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 19.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.20 and the average family size was 2.91.
In the village the population was spread out with 25.2% under the age of 18, 6.2% from 18 to 24, 27.3% from 25 to 44, 23.6% from 45 to 64, and 17.6% who were 65 years of age or older. The median age was 39 years. For every 100 females there were 98.7 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 85.7 males.
