Poulaines is a commune in the Indre department in central France.

Between the years of 1711-1713 noble Jacques de Noblet, husband of Francoise de Preville, son of Henri-Charles de Noblet (who was husband of Marguerite de la Cube), and father of Henri-Charles de Noblet (who was husband of Elisabeth de Potin), Esquire, Lord of la Chesnaye, acquired the seignurie of la Poulaines.
