The Portaro was an all-terrain vehicle manufactured in Portugal by FMAT (Fabrica de Máquinas Agrícolas do Tramagal). The Portaro was derived from an early version of the Romanian ARO, and was available in two main versions, the Jipe and the Pick-up (Campina). At the same time, limited numbers of the Romanian ARO (short for Auto România) light van were produced under the name Tagus.
