Pope Justus of Alexandria served as Pope of Alexandria (head of the church that later divided into the Coptic Orthodox Church and the Greek Church of Alexandria) between 118 and 129 AD. He is regarded as a saint of the Coptic Orthodox Church.[1]
He is believed to have been baptised by Saint Mark,[2] who appointed him as the first Dean of the Catechetical School of Alexandria.[3]
The Seat of the Pope during his papacy remained in the Saint Mark's church in Alexandria.
Pope Justus departed on 12 Paoni 129 AD.
