Poole & Steel

Poole & Steel was a major Australian engineering, railway rolling stock manufacturer and shipbuilding company. They had facilities located at Balmain, New South Wales and at Osborne, South Australia. The company was set up by Arthur Hugh Poole and James Steel.[1]

The shipyard at Osborne, South Australia was sold to the Government of South Australia in 1937.[2]
