Ponoviče is a settlement along the left bank of the river Sava in the Litija municipality in central Slovenia. The Ljubljana to Zidani Most railway line runs through the settlement. Traditionally the area was part of Lower Styria and is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
A large 16th century mansion with surrounding grounds, known as Ponoviče castle (Slovene: Grad Ponoviče), lies on a small elevation above the banks of the Sava to the east of the settlement.[3]
