Poniki [pɔˈniki] (German: Groß Poninken) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Sępopol, within Bartoszyce County, Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship, in northern Poland, close to the border with the Kaliningrad Oblast of Russia.[1] It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) north-west of Sępopol, 11 km (7 mi) north-east of Bartoszyce, and 66 km (41 mi) north-east of the regional capital Olsztyn.
Before 1945 the area was part of Germany (East Prussia).
The village has a population of 333.
