Polypogon is a genus of grasses which are known generally as beard grass or rabbitsfoot grass. They are native to Europe, Africa, and South America, but certain species have been introduced elsewhere. Species vary in appearance; some are erect while others drape over the ground in waves. Many have soft, fluffy inflorescences. Some species are considered noxious weeds, most notably the annual beard grass, Polypogon monspeliensis.
