Poisar, alternately Poisur, (Marathi: पोयसर) is a neighbourhood of Mumbai in the western side of Borivali-Kandivili area. It gets is name from the adjacent Poisar River. A BEST bus depot is located here.
Poisar is an area located between kandivali and borivali.Poisar(west) comprises borsapada etc. where as poisar (east) comprises slums and Thakur village and Thakur complex area.
There are many schools from Thakur group and various trust running in poisar.It hosts a renowned school called the Our Lady of Remedy High School and Kindergarten section. Poisar now has developed a lot with all kinds of facilities. BEST bus depot, Raghuleela MegaMall and good facilities has made it a better part of Kandivali and Borivali.
