Podšentjur is a settlement on the right bank of the river Sava in the Litija municipality in central Slovenia. Traditionally the area was part of Lower Carniola and is now included with the rest of the municipality into the Central Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church is dedicated to Saint George (Slovene: Sveri Jurij) and belongs to the Litija parish. It was built in the 17th century.[3]
