Podstenice (German: Steinwand) is a settlement in the Dolenjske Toplice municipality in Slovenia. It was inhabited by Gottschee Germans. At the start of the Second World War its population was expelled and in 1942 the village burnt to the ground. The area is part of the historical region of Lower Carniola. The municipality is now included in the Southeast Slovenia statistical region.[2]
The local church was dedicated to Saint Ulrich and was an 18th century building.[3]
