The Pnong are an aboriginal Cambodian minority ethnic group, found primarily in Mondulkiri province of Cambodia, and speaking a Mon–Khmer language.
The Pnong minority are normally not members of any organized religion, but instead are animists who revere nature.
A Pnong woman, thought to be Rochom P'ngieng, was discovered after presumably spending 19 years alone in the jungle.[2] Braden Pewitt has written a 106-page book to help analyze and understand how the Pnong view the world. Braden Pewitt is a missionary working with the Adventist Frontiers, and his book is as such an assessment of the Pnong worldview in the context of potential convertations. For more neutral works on the Pnong, see "Living on the margins", the publications of Nomad RSI, or, more generally, the work of Frédéric Bourdier.
