Playwin

Playwin is an online lottery run by the Sikkim government. It was one of the first such lotteries to be opened in India. Established in November 2001, it has operations in many Indian towns and promoted by the Essel Group through Pan India Network Infravest Ltd.

Playwin has five lotto games:

• Thunderball - Draw every Tuesday at 10:30pm, with a starting jackpot of one crore rupees (10 million rupees).
• Thursday Super Lotto - Draw every Thursday at 10:30pm, with a starting jackpot of two crore rupees (20 million rupees).
• Saturday Super Lotto Draw every Saturday at 10:30pm with a starting jackpot of two crore rupees (20 million rupees).
• Fast Lotto Draw every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 9:00pm with a starting jackpot of two lakh rupees (200,000 rupees).
• E-Play Draw every Day at 10:00am to 9:00pm every 20 minutes [2:00pm to 2:45pm off]

The minimum costs of tickets is 10 rupees.

The biggest Playwin jackpot was from the Thursday Super Lotto game, amounting 17.29 crore rupees (172.9 million rupees), and won by a resident of Kolkata on May 25, 2006.

Playwin can also be played online and by phone, with a MyPlaywin.Com card (previously the "ITZ" card). These cards are sold in denominations of 200 rupees, 500 rupees, 1000 rupees and 5000 rupees.

Prior games

Previous games offered prior to 2010 also included Friday Easy Lotto, Lucky 3, Max 3, Keno, Triple Ticket, E-Play, Joker and Joker 5.

In addition, Playwin previously had operations in the Indian states of Karnataka and Maharashtra.
