Piskorowice [piskɔrɔˈvit͡sɛ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Leżajsk, within Leżajsk County, Subcarpathian Voivodeship, in south-eastern Poland. It lies approximately 8 kilometres (5 mi) south-east of Leżajsk and 43 km (27 mi) north-east of the regional capital Rzeszów.[1]
In Piskorowice and outlying villages a massacre of between 160 - 400 [2]ethnic Ukrainians led by members of the National Military Organization of the "Wolyniak" group, aided by Polish civilians, took place on April 16th 1945 [3] sometimes referred to as part of the wider Pawłokoma massacres. [1]
