Pipraich is a town and a nagar panchayat in Gorakhpur district in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is well known native place of reputed "Sainthwar" kshatriya caste which is sangha of ancient democratic kshatriya clans like Malla, Lichchhavis, Shakya, Koliya etc. and derive their name from Santhagara.The prominent villages includes Govindpur,Gaura, Bardagaon, Hemchhapar, Baraipur, Bela, Jagdishpur, Mahuawa etc.The most educated villages like Govindpur and Gaura have produced numerous educated people in past which ranges from engineers,doctors,lawyers,lecturers,Govt Employees working in IAF & Army & other professionals. The Govindpur and Gaura village has produced engineers who are working in IT companies like IBM, AMDOCS, Mahindra Satyam, HSBC, Hewitt Assocites,SAMSUNG, WNS, ABB Automation & ORACLE. Girls in Govindpur and Gaura are also one step ahead compared to all other villages.The girls are very well educated in many fields like MBBS, Engineering, M.Sc, B.Ed & Law.Another village Khurhuriya is 1.5 km ahead from Pipraich in east. Masurity of Schedule caste in khurhuriya.Many Engineers and doctors produced by this village.It is well connected by rail & road. The Co-operative Inter College is located in the heart of town. It have 03 cinema halls. recently Rajmati nishad wife of ex mla Jamuna Nishad won the bypoll of pipraich assembly seat.this election was necessitated due to death of BSP MLA Jamuna nishad in road accident in nov last year.
