Philip A. Kent, aka Phil Kent, is a media consultant and president of Phil Kent Consulting, Inc.
He frequently appears on national news and talk radio as a media commentator and is the author of "The Dark Side of Liberalism."[1] Phil Kent also served as press secretary and public affairs advisor to the late U.S. Sen. Strom Thurmond between 1981 and 1982.[1] Philip Kent worked for the newspaper The Augusta Chronicle for twenty-five years.[1] In 1997 Kent was appointed to an indigent defense board but declined the appointment.[2]
He is also communications director of Fast Auto Loans for Virginia.[3]
