Petra Blazek (born 15 June 1987 in Mödling) is an Austrian handballer playing for Hypo Niederösterreich and the Austrian national team.[1]
At the age of six, Blazek began playing handball with Hypo Niederösterreich in their junior team. As she grew with the club, she showed great potential, which was rewarded with selection to the Austrian national team in 2004 at the age of 17. The 2008 European Championship was the third such top European event for Petra. She has participated in two World Championships and is also a EHF Champions League finalist.[2]
