Peter David Maurice[3] (born 14 April 1951) is the current Bishop of Taunton.[1]
He was educated at Durham University and The College of the Resurrection, Mirfield.[4] Ordained in 1975,[5] his career began with a curacy at St Paul, Wandsworth,[6] after which he was Team Vicar at Mortlake with East Sheen then of Holy Trinity Rotherhithe,[7] Rural Dean of Bermondsey, Vicar of All Saints Tooting, and finally (before his elevation to the Episcopate) Archdeacon of Wells.
An avid sports fan,[8] Bishop Peter is married to Elizabeth, with two sons and one daughter.[1]
