Peter John Hampton[1] (born 12 September 1954) is an English former footballer born in Oldham, Lancashire, who played as a left back in the Football League for Leeds United, Stoke City, Burnley, Rochdale and Carlisle United.[2] He was on the bench for Leeds in the 1975 European Cup Final.

Hampton was Carlisle United's physiotherapist for several years, and later became manager of Workington.[1]
