Peschici is a town and comune in the province of Foggia in the Apulia region of southeast Italy. Famous seaside resorts, its territory belongs to the Italian National Park of Gargano and to the Comunità Montana del Gargano.

Geography

Peschici is situated on the north-eastern coast of Gargano promontory, 9 kilometers East from San Menaio, 14 from Rodi Garganico, and 19 km West from Vieste. The town sits over a karst spur facing the sea, with a height of more than 100 meters; the territory features a number of coastal watch towers. Flora includes sectors of Macchia mediterranea and, in the inner areas, Aleppo pines.

The lexicographer Giacomo Micaglia was born in Peschici.
