Persisam Putra Samarinda, is a professional Indonesian football club. It's located in Samarinda. It is forced from Persisam Samarinda and Putra Samarinda in 2000. Gait second one city with a different team management (funded by the City Government of Samarinda Persisam Pusam while private parties) in the national football scene spelled bad. Especially when competing in Galatama Pusam as it gets endowment funds from local businessmen. Unfortunately since the semi-professional competition was merged with United and become the League of Indonesia, this team was a dead.

While the budget-funded Persisam Samarinda, could still continue to exist (thanks to the people of Samarinda who was involved for the rebirth of Persisam Samarinda). Only, the excellent performance of this team had finally thrown to the second division in the 2002/2003 season. It was only in the next two seasons, the team has re-emerged. Especially after a merger with and into Persisam Pusam Putra Samarinda.

This merger process was a sweet fruit. Team performance epithet "Elang Borneo (Eagle of Borneo)" back skyrocketed. The top four of the division two seasons in 2005 and promotion to division one, the team only two seasons in the second level and through the main division season in 2007, the highest caste at the time, was ranked third with the final standings.

Remarkably, as in the first division promotion team (by the stable performances) did not make the achievement of this team stopped. Appear consistently throughout the season they won the division lead and pocketed the key to the promotion tickets Superliga 2009/10, professional competition is the highest caste of national football today.

Persisam supporters called Pusamania.[2] Their rivalry with PFC (Persiba Fans Club) and Balistik(Balikpapan Suporter Fanatik)raises in the last years. Their rivalry were running out of balance because Persisam superior in every way for a sluggish team like Persiba (recently suffered a hilarious defeat against Persisam 4-1 in Segiri Stadium (Theatre of Hell), Samarinda).
