Johann Friedrich Penther (May 17, 1693 – September 17, 1749) was a German mathematician and architect.
He was born on May 17, 1693, in Fürstenwalde. He attended an academy for Silesian nobility in Legnica. In 1717, he was appointed as the court controller for the sons of the Duke of Haugwitz. He died on September 17, 1749, in Göttingen.[1]
