Pelanomodon is an extinct genus of dicynodont therapsid. Several species have been named, including P. rubidgei, P. moschops, and P. tuberosus. P. rubidgei has a pair of very large nasal bosses on its snout, while the bosses of P. moschops are smaller. P. rubidgei and P. moschops may represent sexual morphs of the same species. If this is the case, P. moschops would have precedence because it was named first.[1]
