Born May 8, 1960, in Ronse (in French, Renaix), Belgium, Patrick Vande Walle is an Internet engineer. He is a member of the Security and Stability Committee of ICANN and a former member of its At-Large Advisory Committee. He is also the founder of the DotSport Registry project, an applicant for the .sport Top Level Domain. Additionally, he is an official at the European Commission. He previously served on the Internet Society's board of trustees.
