Pasha Yiğit Bey (Serbian: Pašait-beg, also Pasaythus or Basaitus d. 1413) was the first ruler of Skopsko Krajište (Macedonia) and Bosansko Krajište (part of Bosnia and Herzegovina), two frontier provinces on the border of the Ottoman Empire (but not under its direct control until 1463) from 1392 to 1413. He led the army that took Skopje (Üsküp), thus he was named conqueror of Skopje by the Ottoman Empire.[1]
He was born in Saruhan. Yiğit was the tutor of Isak-Beg, the second ruler of Bosansko Krajište, and he was father of Turahan Bey[1] an Ottoman general, conqueror of Thessaly and warden of its marches. He died in Skopje, and was buried in the yard of the notable Meddah mosque.
