Parrega (West Frisian: Parregea) in the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân in the province Friesland of the Netherlands and has around 500 citizens (1-1-2009). The village is split up by a canal, and the only bridge in the centre connects the two parts with each other.
Parrega was a fishing village, located east of the former Parregaaster Lake, which was reclaimed in 1879. Together with the nearby village Hieslum it has a more than 80 years old village interests association and a 30 years old newspaper.
Parrega has its own primary school. Almost all the children of Parrega, Hieslum and Dedgum go there to school. Also there is a villagehouse, including a sports hall, called the Gearhing.
