Tytheus or Tythefs (Greek: Τυθεύς) is a river in the northwestcentral parts of the Achaea prefecture. The river is also known as Parapeiros (Παραπείρος), and was known as Toskesi (Τόσκεσι).

Geography

The Tytheus river begins in the east of the Erymanthos mountains, it passes through the municipalities of Tritaia and into Fares. It empties into the Peiros where in the tributary is constructing a new dam which will be located between Chafkali and Toskos and will be known as the Peiros-Parapeiros Dam or Peiros Perapeiros-Dam in which will bring electricity to Patras and the nearby Patras Industrial Area.
