Panther Valley High School located on U.S. Route 209 in Lansford, Pennsylvania, United States, is a public high school serving students in grades 9 to 12. It is the only high school for the Panther Valley School District.

History

Panther Valley High School, opened in 1973, is a four-year comprehensive high school focusing on Career Pathways. The school district comprises four individual towns in Carbon and Schuylkill Counties. These towns are Lansford, Summit Hill, Nesquehoning, and Coaldale, Pennsylvania. Students desiring trade or technical courses attend Panther Valley during grade 9 and complete grades ten through twelve and Carbon County Area Vocational Technical School in Jim Thorpe. Students in grade twelve also have an opportunity to attain college credit through the Lehigh Carbon Community College Dual Enrollment. There are 514 students enrolled in grades 9 through 12. Students have the opportunity to participate in over 18 different organizations and 14 interscholastic sports at the AA/A level of competition.
