SS Pan-Pennsylvania

SS Pan-Pennsylvania was a Type T3-S-BF1 tanker (ship) built at the Welding Shipyards in Norfolk, Virginia, in 1943 for the United States Maritime Commission. The 11,016 gross register tons (GRT) ship was torpedoed by German submarine U-550 near position on 16 April 1944 with the loss of 25 men. The ship finally sank at position . U-550 was sunk by the American destroyer escort Joyce in the action that followed the attack on Pan-Pennsylvania.
